Nurse-Maid Elbow

Hey all, just checking in with a medical update. For those of you who have children 3 years of age or younger, do not play the '1-2-3 Weeeeee. . .' game with your kids. We found out the hard way that sometimes it can lead to a problem called Nurse-Maid Elbow.

This boy looks like he's having fun, but really he is shrieking in agony seeing that his arms have just been pulled from their sockets. . .maybe.

We were playing that game with Brooklyn on Saturday when she really started favoring her left arm. I guess her elbow had been partially dislocated and hyper extended. We got it checked on Sunday with X-rays and all, and the doc says that she should start being able to use it again in a few days. She is already doing better, but it breaks our hearts to see her going through pain. So fight back the temptations of swinging the kids until they're at least 3 years old.

Utah Fair Fun

Well, we went to the Utah fair a couple of days ago and had so much fun. In the past, whenever Brooklyn would be around any farm animals, she would hold on to us with all her might. She loved to watch them, but definetly kept her distance. Not this time! She couldn't get enough! She kept wanting to go back and see all the "aminals" as she puts it. And she hasn't stopped talking about it for days. She's walking around the house saying the animals name and then the noise each makes. She is so funny.

This was my favorite part. The ALL-YOU -CAN-EAT-ICE CREAM!!!! They had a huge tent with about 10 different ice cream distributors scooping what ever delectable flavor you wanted.
For any of you who know me, you know I was in heaven.

Brooklyn didn't complain to much either.

IT'S IN!!!

Alright everybody, it's time for some serious prayer for Matt and that he will get an interview with ExpressJet! I just turned in my resume and application no more than five minutes ago, and my heart is pounding already. So really, if you could keep me in your prayers for the next little bit, I would appreciate it greatly. I'm hoping that with my friends help who are already in the company, the application will be expedited. I didn't even know what that word 'expedited' meant until I worked as an 'Expo' at Magleby's. Funny 'eh? Anyhow, we'll keep you informed! Love to all.
