This Christmas was by far the best Christmas we have ever had. Everything about it was so wonderful! The kids had the best time, and Matt and I just couldn't get enough of them and their excitement over everything this holiday season. It was so much fun! And to top it off, Matt got Christmas day off at the last minute, which was truly a Christmas miracle. Its been a few years since we've been able to actually celebrate Christmas on Christmas day. Such is the life of a pilot. We really appreciated being together that much more because we know all to well how it is to not spend a holiday together.
Blake had no qualms about meeting Santa this year. He ran right up to him and jumped right on his lap. As for Brooklyn, this was the first year she has come within 50 feet of Santa, let alone sit on his lap. We were so proud of her!
The calm before the storm.
Brooklyn trying out her Hula Hoop. She started to get it pretty quick.
Blake loves his work bench. He loves going around to each of us, trying to saw off our limbs.
This year has been the year of the Disney Princesses for Brooklyn. She can't get enough of them. (And in case your wondering whats on her face, she tried to draw eyelashes on herself the night before.)
Blake's favorite gift, as always, is cars. He just can't get enough!
Both kids got a few dress ups from Santa also.
Brooklyn's absolute favorite princess is Ariel, so when she got the complete costume, she took no time at all to dress up and pose just as Ariel does. It was the cutest thing! She kept wanted me to take more & more pictures. She really got into character.
Blake got into character also, climbing all over the furniture and trying to take down the bad guys (Daddy, Mommy, and Brooklyn... I mean Ariel)
